Our Mawson Lakes Facility (MLF) in Adelaide is the center of excellence for integration, facilities management, and sustainment of advanced defence systems. At MLF, you’ll be working alongside highly skilled engineers, operations, and project professionals in a collaborative and fast-paced environment that drives the success of Australia’s missile launch capability.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer to contribute KONGSBERG’s Global Supply Chain (GSC) Program.
You will play a key role in ensuring the GSC Program achieves its mission of  connecting Australian suppliers with opportunities to export into KONGSBERG’s supply chain by supporting Build to Specification opportunities and capability evaluation of suppliers.  

  
About the role:
As a Systems Engineer, you will:

• Investigate and evaluate suppliers in various fields of engineering to assess capabilities.
• Provide engineering support to suppliers for Hardware Requirements Specifications (HRS).
• Develop gap analysis of supplier capabilities in collaboration with the Supplier Developer and identify areas for uplift.
• Assist suppliers with engineering support to develop their capabilities to achieve the requirements.
• Develop plans for products and systems to achieve broader export opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with KDA procedures and contractual requirements by maintaining comprehensive records of meetings, evaluations and supplier interactions.
• Provide regular updates and reports on supplier performance, risks and improvement initiatives to the Global Supply Chain Manager.

 What you'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree Engineering or equivalent experience and qualifications
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Data management
• Previous Defence industry experience (desirable). 
• Understanding of Systems Engineering principles (desirable). 

  
 Mandatory Requirements:  

• Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulations (ITAR). 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.
