At Kongsberg Defence Australia (KDAu) we work on cutting-edge projects in collaboration with global teams and customers. We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our high-performing team in Adelaide.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent engineering graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience at our brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Mawson Lakes, supporting critical defence projects.

About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:

• Prepare equipment models, layouts, drawings and analysis.
• Prepare documentation supporting interfacing with the KDAu production facility.
• Contribute to the management of the configuration of design documentation.
• Support the conduct of Acceptance Testing activities, including Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test Set to Work First Article Inspections. 
• Prepare test reports, project documentation, production baselines, and supplier technical data packs.
• Develop processes for the conduct of engineering activities including Acceptance Tests.
• Support the conduct of Root cause Analysis for Non-Conforming product.
• Support the conduct of product Safety Assessments.

What You’ll Bring

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• CAD systems such as SolidWorks (desirable)
• Experience in a similar role in a defence environment (desirable). 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.
