Kongsberg Defence Australia (KDAu) is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our growing team in Adelaide. This role will be based at our brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Mawson Lakes, supporting critical defence projects.

You'll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving production across cutting- edge defence projects.  You will play a key role in shaping production strategies and ensuring the smooth day-to-day execution of KDAu production activities. 

About the Role
As the Production Planner, you will:

• Support projects make / buy process to establish the contracted and local production scopes.
• Define production strategies and methods suited to the production environment.
• Establish key performance indicators and reports to monitor execution in production.
• Maintain a production plan for the production workshop and coordinate day to day production activities in accordance with lead times.
• Communicate  the production schedule and changes to the schedule.
• Deliver production orders and provide performance reporting for work undertaken in ERP.

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in production planning.
• Demonstrated applied ERP experience in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated experience using scheduling tools.
• Tertiary qualifications in supply chain management or related discipline (desirable). 
• Previous trade based experience (desirable). 
• Applied knowledge of Lean and or Six Sigma (desirable).

Mandatory Requirements

• Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulations (ITAR).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.
