Kongsberg Defence Australia (KDAu) is looking for an exceptional Commercial Manager to lead commercial activities for the nations first Missile Factory. You will play a pivotal role in driving effective commercial solutions and managing commercial operations across the program and wider Kongsberg business.

About the Role
As the Commercial Manager, you will:

• Provide commercial leadership for Kongsberg Missile Factory (KMF)  program and supply chain, ensuring alignment with Kongsberg’s business objectives.
• Drive financial and commercial performance through innovative,  value-driven commercial strategies and strong risks management. 
• Develop, implement, and manage commercial and compliance policies, processes, and documentation.
• Lead the drafting, negotiation, and management of contracts, including claims for variations, extensions, and proposals. 
• Collaborate with supply chain, finance, and project teams to deliver agile, holistic commercial solutions that optimise profit. 
• Communicate clearly and authoritatively across all levels of the organisation to build understanding of complex commercial issues.
• Ensure compliance with legislative and contractual obligations, exceeding requirements where possible.
• Drive personal development and provide learning opportunities for the broader Kongsberg business in commercial practices.
• Effectively oversee all aspects of the commercial budget and foster strong relationships with Kongsberg Defence Australia, Kongsberg Defence AS, and other key stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualifications in law, commerce or a related discipline.
• Current unrestricted practicing certificate for legal advice in an in-house environment (desirable). 
• A minimum of 6 years' commercial or legal experience in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Experience and applied understanding in construction and / or manufacturing.
• Extremely strong negotiation and influencing skills and communication skills. 
• Experience and applied understanding in ASDEFCON (desirable).
