Must work 3 out of 8 weekend shifts every 4 weeks. Flexible RTO. Need to be available for fulltime, daytime training first 4 weekdays of assignment.
General job duties. Types of procedures required:
Vital signs, Medication administration, assessments, patient care and patient transfers
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.: EPIC charting; PYXIS, IV Pumps, Tube Feeding Pumps, Wound Vacs, Trach suctioning,
- Minimum 1 year-2 years preferred. Trach care, Iv Starts, Dressing changes, Peg tube care, Patient Lifting
- BLS required, IN state RN license
Floating to other units/departments: Possible floating to med / surg units
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept: 31 Beds
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only): 1:5 occasionally 1:6

About the unit/department specific training and orientation program:
RN will be taught how to chart Functional Independence Measure (FIM) which is a government required charting for inpatient Rehab units.
Orientation will be Mon-Fri week 1 and Mon-Tues week 2 - 8 hour days. MANDATORY ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL 7 DAYS OF ORIENTATION.
