Our Emergency Department is a 10 bed unit, delivering 24 hour care to the approximate 18,000 patients we serve annually. The Director of the Emergency Services oversees the operations of the hospital's designated Trauma Level III and Level II stroke center to our community.
This role is a valuable member of our Leadership Team and a collaborative clinical partner with Physicians, Executives, clinical and support staff working to provide optimal care experiences for patients and their families. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Leader focused on delivering positive patient care outcomes, and ensuring the success of the Emergency Department Team.
Key areas of responsibility for this Leader include oversight of the patient care experience, employee engagement, coaching & leading the team for success, managing staffing levels, training metrics, ensuring achievement of compliance requirements, and fiscal management of departmental assets. This role is instrumental in implementing and evaluating quality improvement initiatives, actively engaging in patient satisfaction measures, providing direct involvement with work process standards and performance goals to ensure exceptional service delivery and patient care. Qualifications
- A minimum of five (5) years clinical experience in an emergency department, with previous leadership experience.
- Current Registered Nurse license issued by the WA Department of Health required.
- Current Basic Life Support Certification & Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification.
- Must obtain TNCC and ENPC or PALS certifications within 12 months of employment.
- BSN degree required, advanced national certification strongly encouraged.
- Superior interpersonal and effective communication skills.
