General job duties:
1. Ensure timely, accurate operation and provision of invasive tests and medical imaging equipment under appropriate medical supervision as required by the overall plans of care at the lowest possible cost and risk to the patient. 20% 1.1 Demonstrate competency in principles of radiation protection standards and adhere to prescribed standards for radiation safety. 1.2 Adjust technical factors/collimation appropriately dependent on patient status. 1.3 Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of all interventional/neuro/vascular interventional therapeutic imaging equipment (e.g., fluoroscopic imaging, digital imaging, ultrasound equipment, computed tomography capabilities of angio equipment, 3D acquisit 1.4 Demonstrate proficiency in operation of interventional/neuro/vascular interventional therapeutic devices (e.g., angiojet, RF ablation, neuro coiling, spine therapy (kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty) and cancer therapies (chemoembolization, embospheres)) and se 1.5 Demonstrate sterile technique and ability to maintain sterile environment when needed in the procedure room. 1.6 Adhere to institutional and departmental standards and policies and procedures regarding care of patients, procedures, and elimination of medical errors through the TIME OUT process prior to each patient procedure.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept:
Siemens Artis & Phillips xray and ultrasound machines. Radiant is the computerized charting . Omnicell dispurses medication. Electronic supply manage with WaveMark system. Logging and scanning RFID tagged supplies.
3 years minimum IR experience
ARRT, BLS, Nebraska Radiography license. CVIT or VI preferred
