Prepares patients for ultrasound exams and for physicians. Explains procedures to the patient prior to performing test. Conducts diagnostic ultrasound exams and records anatomy, pathology and physiological data to interpreting physician (Detailed or Level II exams, Growth ultrasounds, BPP’s, Doppler studies of umbilical artery and middle cerebral artery, fetal echocardiograms, cervical lengths, transvaginal exams including gynecological). Assists physician during invasive procedures requiring ultrasound guidance (amniocentesis, D&C, Twin deliveries). Create and prep ultrasound reports using digital reporting system.
