Shift will be combination of 6a - 2:30p and 8a - 4:30p.
Assists the supervisor in the technical aspects of the areas of responsibility. This may include but not be limited to advanced technical knowledge of the instrumentation in the areas of responsibility. Knowledgeable quality control and operations of the areas of responsibility.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept: Fully Automated laboratory with the following instrumentation: CHEMISTRY: (2) Beckman Coulter DXI 600, (2) Beckman Coulter AU 680, (2) Radiometer ABL 825, (1) TLiIQ Rapid fFN, (1) Advanced Instruments Model 3320 Osmometer, (1) STAT-Site® Mß-HB MeterBLOOD BANK: (1)Galileo EchoHEMATOLOGY: (1)Beckman Coulter DXH 600, (1)Beckman Coulter DXH 800URINALYSIS: (1) Iris Diagnostics I Chem 100, (1) Iris Diagnostics iRICELL 2000, (1) Polymedco Sedimat 15COAGULATION: (2) Sysmex CA1500, (1) Dade PFA 100
Have a bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution and have one year of laboratory training or experience, or both, in high complexity testing. or
Qualify under 42CFR493.1489 (b) (2). Have earned an associates degree in a laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution or have equivalent education and training as defined in 42CFR493.1489 (b) (2) and have at last 2 years of laboratory training or experience, or both in high complexity testing: or have previously qualified as a general supervisor under section 493.1462 on or before February 28, 1992 with exceptions as stated in 42CFR493.1461 (3) (ii).
Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Medical Technologist MT(ASCPor AMT)
Shift or schedule requirements: Scheduled 8 hour shifts, may work over as needed. Weekend and/or Holiday rotation.
