This position is responsible to provide shift leadership and oversight for daily unit operations as designated by the Department Director.
Ensures quality of delivered patient care to patients of all ages from neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult to geriatric collaborating intra/interdepartmentally with staff, directors, physicians, administration, and others.
Participates in patient care activities both directly and indirectly as a resource to staff members.
Delivers direct/indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process or designated scope of practice through data collection and assessment; identification and prioritization of patient’s problems and needs; and development/implementation/evaluation of a nursing plan of care (RN).
Demonstrates critical thinking to assure the delivery of safe, quality age-specific care. Delegates effectively to appropriate team members.
Documents accurately and in a timely manner.
Communicates and collaborates with other healthcare team members.
Adheres to organizational policies and procedures; regulatory/ accrediting body requirements; and professional practice standards
A BSN is required.
Current licensure to practice professional Nursing in the State of Ohio.
Current (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required. ACLS required
Previous charge/supervisory or management experience preferred
2 years critical care experience required.
The position reports to the Director.
The department has a great team and the director is well respected.
The position will offer a range between $28-$37hr depending on experience and a full benefit package.
