The General Surgeon will be responsible for performing general surgical operations, outpatient ambulatory surgical procedures, and outpatient general surgery consultations for new and established patients.
The general surgeon is expected to follow each patient through the full continuum of care to include:
Admissions, discharges, performing histories and physicals, assisting in the full coordination of diagnostic tests and procedures prior to surgery, education and counseling of the patient and family members.
The general surgeon will adhere to policies and procedures regarding the completion of orders, operation reports, discharge summaries, progress notes, clinical reminders, and performance measures.
Must be a credentialed Doctor of Medicine(MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy(DO).
Board certified with at least 2 years of experience.
Facility is a full service, 25 bed acute care hospital with 24hr emergency care, full medical and surgical services and attached 36 bed skilled Extended Care Facility.
There is an attached Clinic as well for the medical providers and a 13 unit assisted living facility and a LTC Facility that is 80 beds including 16 of them a secure Alzheimer's unit.
A unique position for a Surgeon that is looking to find work/life balance. The position requires the Surgeon to work 20 days a month and have 10 days off.
They also do no trauma at the facility as it is sent out.
The facility looking to pay around 400K depending on experience plus full benefits, relocation and sign-on.
