A great opportunity with a premier healthcare ambulatory surgery center located in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York State. This is close to many wineries, hiking trails in natural habitat of the finger lakes and state parks.
Full-time Days 80 hours per pay period on two week basis. No weekend, No on-call, No holidays.
Ambulatory surgery center leadership and experience with medical terminology and surgical scheduling.
Experience with budget development and variance monitoring on a monthly basis.
Experience managing equipment, and instrumentation through excellent vendor relationships.
Appropriate experience with staffing and downsizing to productivity levels.
Working knowledge of processes related to chart preparation and office coordination to complete admissions and patient medical records in time for surgery.
Computer literacy required with word processing, spreadsheets, power point.
Demonstrate skills in problem solving, logical thinking, and adult education.
Knowledge and understanding of physician and nursing practices, and logistics in an Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span to service to the various populations that have surgical and endoscopy procedures.
Able to supervise the day to day operations, including payroll and productivity metrics.
Provides leadership with a strong focus on customer service resulting in high physician and patient satisfaction.
Collaborates with providers to improve processes and resolve issues. Problem solving skills must be well developed.
Required to maintain verbal and written communication, at multiple levels with internal and external customers.
Coordinate and maintain PI and QA reporting for the department.
Standardize material processes where applicable. Ensure that bulk buying is taking place between both sites to maximize cost savings.
Review OR & ENDO schedules in advance to ensure proper instrumentation and implants are on site and sterile.
Review the order of cases and ensures that patients are notified in a timely manner.
Oversee all aspects of materials management for the department, including patient charging and verification, semi annual inventory, product recalls, special requests for surgeries, repairs, and evaluation, selection of new products.
Ensures that pharmacy supplies are on site for appropriate cases. Manage the Tissue Log for the facility.
Resolve patient billing and charging issues. Handle emergency situations by calling the appropriate emergency agency and trains staff on emergency procedures.
