Essential Job Duties:
The Infection Control Manager is responsible for the management of all hospital activities related to the Infection Prevention and Control Program, including educational program development, consultation to departments on matters of infection control, and ensuring ongoing organizational compliance with regulatory agency protocols under the management of the Quality Director.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; Ability to write reports, correspondence, & procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information & respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, & the general public; Excellent computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Office products required Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions; Effective problem solving, conflict management and organizational skills; The ability to establish respect and rapport with peers, staff, physicians, and administration
