Corporate Associate / Senior Associate Firm: Leading International Law Firm
Our client is looking for a Lawyer to join their corporate team that advises on private equity sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, infrastructure and real estate investors, and corporates on domestic and cross-border transactions across Asia Pacific.
Key Responsibilities
Advise on M&A, private equity, public-to-private, joint venture, co-investment, growth equity, restructuring, and exit transactions.
Lead and manage transaction workstreams.
Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including SPAs, investment agreements, shareholders' agreements, and joint venture agreements.
Conduct and manage legal due diligence exercises.
Coordinate multi-jurisdictional transactions and external counsel.
Work closely with clients, counterparties, and financial advisers.
Collaborate with finance, regulatory, antitrust, tax, funds, and disputes teams.
Support business development, client pitches, and legal updates.
Supervise and mentor junior lawyers.
Requirements
Qualified lawyer with 4-8 years' PQE in Corporate M&A, Private Equity, or related transactional matters.
Experience gained at a leading international or top-tier law firm.
Strong cross-border transaction experience.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills.
Commercial and practical approach to legal issues.
Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
Strong client management and communication skills.
Preferred Attributes
Experience advising private equity sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, infrastructure funds, or real estate investors.
Experience on Asia-Pacific transactions.
Previous supervisory or mentoring experience.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Business development and client relationship management experience.
