Overview:
Our client, a dynamic and fast-growing Japanese international law firm, is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Lawyer to join its Singapore office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated, cross-border transactions for global clients in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment, with clear advancement criteria and career progression options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on complex cross-border M&A transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience advising on deals involving multiple jurisdictions and diverse regulatory frameworks.
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents for strategic acquisitions, joint ventures, and disposals.
- Collaborate with colleagues across offices to deliver seamless client service on multi-jurisdictional deals.
- Provide strategic legal advice to clients on deal structuring and regulatory considerations.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to thought leadership within the practice.
Requirements: - US or UK qualified lawyer.
- 5-12 years PQE in M&A, with experience handling cross-border transactions.
- Strong technical skills and ability to manage complex deal structures.
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Attributes: - Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Interest in contributing to business development and client relationship management.
- Knowledge of Japanese language is a plus, but not a requirement.
