The Digital Infrastructure & Technology practice operates across Australia and Singapore and advises leading global investors, developers, operators and technology companies on complex transactions and regulatory matters across the digital economy. The team works at the intersection of infrastructure, technology and telecommunications, supporting high-value, cross-border projects throughout Asia-Pacific.
 
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our client's Digital Infrastructure & Technology practice in Singapore. The role involves advising on sophisticated, market-leading matters relating to digital infrastructure assets and technology platforms, with a strong cross-border element in the broader Asia-Pacific region.
 
The successful candidate will work closely with senior practitioners on complex matters, take increasing responsibility for transactions and client relationships, and play a key role in the continued growth of the practice.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a broad range of digital infrastructure and technology matters, including data centres, fibre and subsea cable systems, connectivity infrastructure, cloud services and digital platforms.
• Lead and support complex commercial, project and transactional documentation, including colocation and development agreements, master services agreements, joint ventures, strategic partnerships and long-term supply arrangements.
• Provide regulatory, policy and structuring advice in relation to telecommunications, data protection, privacy, cybersecurity and emerging technology frameworks.
• Support M&A, strategic investments, joint ventures and project transactions involving digital infrastructure and technology assets.
• Manage matters day-to-day, including supervising junior lawyers, coordinating across jurisdictions and driving transactions through to completion.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice.
• Contribute to business development and thought leadership, including client pitches, publications and industry engagement.

Skills & Experience

• Qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction (Singapore or Australian qualification preferred).
• Typically 5+ years' post-qualification experience gained at a top-tier or international law firm.
• Strong experience advising on technology, telecommunications or digital infrastructure matters, particularly complex commercial or transactional work.
• Solid understanding of the digital infrastructure ecosystem, including how data centres, networks and technology platforms are developed and operated.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills, with a strong commercial mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and collaborate effectively across Singapore- and Australia-based teams.
• Confidence working directly with clients and contributing to relationship development.

Desirable Experience

• Cross-border transaction experience within Asia-Pacific.
• Familiarity with regulatory regimes affecting telecoms, data, privacy or digital services.
• Experience mentoring junior lawyers and supporting team development.
