We are looking for someone who will assume responsibility for the HR and Resourcing Functions for a regular client of ours based in Windsor with sites (healthcare) across the UK. This role includes the management of a small Team with their own specialist skillset. HR advice is currently delivered via a retained external provider who assist with technical HR cases as appropriate but equally we would want someone in this post with a solid background in handling ER cases.

A key element of this role is to ensure that all elements of the people function are consistently challenged to deliver a ‘best in class’ service to the internal stakeholders. This role requires an individual who has a strong background operating at Senior Manager level who can challenge current practices and use data to develop an internal service that is industry leading bringing in fresh ideas to constantly inject better ways of working.

The two areas of focus for this role are HR and Recruitment and as such this role requires an individual who brings with them experience across both of these disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• To lead, develop and grow the people function, delivering strategies that support the business on a national basis.
• Contribute to a strong people-led Agenda and take the lead in driving change and aligning with Operational KPIS and the business objectives.
• Head up and be a hands-on member of both the Resourcing and Human Recruitment functions based at Head Office.
• Provide support and advice on a national level that complies with employment law, healthcare regulations (CQC) and aligns to a best practice people service.
• Oversee and lead the day-to-day operations of the Resourcing Function, ensure that the Team are operating effectively and adapting to the challenges of a tight labour market and employing innovative hiring methods to pitch Glenholme as an Employer of Choice.
• Work closely with the data available to identify areas for improvement, specifically to optimise recruitment efficiencies, staff retention and raise the level of expertise across the business in all areas of people management & performance.
• Provide dynamic and effective leadership as well as the day-to-day management of the HR and Recruitment Teams, enhancing their skills and creating a supportive working environment.
• In conjunction with the outsourced HR advice provider, provide timely, responsive and effective HR advice that is learnt from and internal development opportunities identified.
• Develop future proof initiatives across the Head Office people function as the business grows and demands on the wider Management Team increase.
• Provide high level strategic reporting for The Board and SLT so they are kept aware of all key people related data that impact on the business.

Qualifications / Experience:

• Proven track record managing and working in a hands-on capacity within both a HR AND a Resourcing function.
• Strong HR Generalist Experience.
• Experience of managing a fast-paced recruitment function setting targets and delivery KPIs to ensure that an effective and timely recruitment service is in place.
• CIPD Qualified – ideally Level 5 with a sound knowledge of employment law.
• Ability to build professional working relationships both internally and with external suppliers.
• Comfortable adhering to strict deadlines, company policies and working under pressure.
• Able to work strategically, influence and challenge when needed, regularly assess the competition and keep abreast of new technology and processes that could improve the Department efficiencies.
• Data driven and analytically minded, able to interpret trends and design action plans to address key people issues.

• Naturally able to deliver on new initiatives and change existing practices in line with market changes and business needs.
• Prior experience managing a small Team responsible for the delivery for HR & recruitment services within a professionally led business.
• Strong degree of analytical skills, able to work accurately with data and use to direct the strategy of the business area for which you hold responsibility.
• Self-motivated, ambitious and have a strong willingness to go the extra mile at work and achieve beyond the standard expectations.
• Ability to anticipate issues before they escalate and address with practical and commercially-sound solutions.
