Entrust Recruitment is partnering with a global leader in mining and infrastructure solutions to recruit an experienced Field Support Technician to join their growing Maintenance Field Support team in Western Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified tradesperson looking for a role that offers variety, autonomy and genuine career development. Working across multiple operational sites, you'll provide preventative maintenance, breakdown support, commissioning and servicing of critical mobile and fixed plant equipment.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a Perth point of hire, working either an 8/6 or 9/5 roster. Travel is completed in company time, and you'll be provided with a fully maintained work ute, laptop, mobile phone and company credit card.

The role is primarily DIDO to operations throughout the South West, with occasional travel to Goldfields sites when required.

The Role
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out preventative maintenance on mobile and fixed plant equipment
• Responding to breakdowns and fault-finding in the field
• Commissioning new equipment and supporting site installations
• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
• Providing technical advice and troubleshooting support to site personnel
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and service reports
• Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring all work complies with company procedures
• Building strong relationships across multiple operational sites

About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Australian recognised Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification
• Minimum 3 years post-trade experience
• Experience working within mining, heavy industry, field service or maintenance environments
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Experience working on mobile and/or fixed plant equipment
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Current unrestricted driver's licence
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Desirable:

• Dual Trade Qualification (Auto Electrical)
• HR Licence
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
