Our client is a pioneer in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control (EI&C) solutions. Headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, they specialize in designing and manufacturing switch rooms (E-Houses), system integration, and R&D for industrial and mining sectors.
They are currently seeking a talented and motivated Project Engineer to join their growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects across Australia.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end technical execution of electrical and automation projects, ensuring seamless integration from design to installation.
- Prepare, review, and approve engineering designs, drawings, and technical specifications, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations.
- Manage project budgets, procurement processes, and contractor engagements, ensuring cost control and optimal resource utilization.
- Oversee tender preparation and submission, ensuring all technical and financial requirements are met.
- Monitor project progress, focusing on schedule management, scope, and quality control to ensure successful delivery.
- Provide technical, safety, and quality support, ensuring all engineering work aligns with HSEQ standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely project execution and compliance with safety requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project performance reports, including weekly and monthly updates to senior management.
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical project engineering, ideally within automation, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of Australian electrical and communication standards, as well as HSEQ and construction safety regulations.
- Proven experience managing budgets, contracts, procurement, and schedules.
- Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office, with experience in AutoCAD and cost control systems preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to project execution.
- Ability to lead, communicate, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
