Our client is seeking a Electrical Engineer to join the Projects team based on site on a 2:2 roster. In this role, you’ll play a key part in the Engineering team, on a civil underground civil project. This is a permanent position with a leading contractor.

Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical engineering design and development for high-voltage systems on site.
• Provide technical expertise for HV infrastructure, including installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and site inspections for electrical projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet project specifications and deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.
• Contribute to continuous improvement processes within the engineering team.
• Supervision of trades.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on HV/LV systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical system design, commissioning, and fault analysis.
• Experience in managing projects and working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficient in engineering software and tools
• Experience in underground projects is a plus
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and codes is essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
• Proficient in MS Packages
