Full Job Description
Engineering Trades Australia is currently seeking experienced Underground Electricians for maintenance work at a mine in Cobar, NSW. 

About the Role
Working as part of the underground maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding and repairing underground mining equipment and electrical infrastructure to support safe and efficient mining operations.

Your duties may include:

• Fault-finding, diagnostics and breakdown response on underground mining equipment
• Electrical maintenance and repairs on mobile mining equipment
• HV/LV isolation, testing and electrical fault-finding
• Cable installation, terminations and equipment connections
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics

The role will suit an electrician with proven underground mining maintenance experience who is confident working in a hard-rock mining environment and can hit the ground running.

Requirements

• Current Electrical Licence
• Previous underground mining experience
• Experience with underground mobile equipment and electrical maintenance
• Current CPR & LVR
• Construction White Card
• Working at Heights and Confined Space - within 2 years
• National Police Clearance less than 12 months old, or ability to obtain one ASAP
• Current Driver Licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
• Availability to commence ASAP
