I'm recruiting for multiple trades to join ongoing mechanical contractor teams working on the Blast Furnace reline project at Port Kembla. This is a great opportunity for experienced Pipe Fitters, Mechanical Fitters, and Boilermakers to secure long-term, ongoing work on a major heavy industrial project.
 
What's on offer:

• $50-$55 per hour + penalties
• Ongoing, long-term project
• Work on a major Blast Furnace reline
• Opportunity to work alongside experienced trades teams on a large-scale industrial project

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, fit, and weld structural steel, plate, and pipework as part of the reline works
• Read and work from engineering drawings and work orders
• Cut, shape, and fit plate, pipe, and steel sections to specification
• Carry out repairs, modifications, and installations on plant structures and equipment
• Work from heights, scaffolds, and in confined spaces as required
• Complete isolations, permits, and job cards to site procedures
• Work alongside other trades as part of a broader reline crew
• Follow all site safety, environmental, and quality requirements

Licences/Experience Required:

• Trade qualified Pipe Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, or Boilermaker
• Relevant licences and tickets (e.g. White Card, Working at Heights, Confined Space, EWP, Rigging/Dogging)
• Own basic tools
• Previous heavy industrial or steel plant experience highly regarded
