We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Carpenter to join our client’s team on a temp/casual basis in Perth.

Paying approximately $60 per hour, this opportunity is suited to a highly experienced Carpenter who can confidently work alongside and support an established team while delivering work to a high standard.

We’re looking for someone who brings strong trade knowledge, takes pride in their workmanship and is comfortable taking the lead on tasks when required.

The Role
As a Senior Carpenter, you’ll work closely with the wider team to complete carpentry works safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Depending on the project requirements, your responsibilities may include:

• Completing a range of carpentry and construction activities
• Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and specifications
• Measuring, cutting, assembling and installing materials
• Completing fit-out and general carpentry works
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and to specification
• Identifying and resolving issues as they arise
• Coordinating tasks with other trades and team members
• Providing guidance to less experienced workers where required
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and site housekeeping
• Ensuring all works comply with relevant safety requirements

What We’re Looking For
To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Relevant Carpentry trade qualification
• Extensive hands-on carpentry experience
• Previous experience operating at a Senior Carpenter or highly experienced tradesperson level
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and construction practices
• Ability to confidently read and interpret plans and drawings
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Ability to work autonomously when required
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Current Construction White Card
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Own reliable transport
• Relevant tools for the role where required
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Full Australian working rights

You’re an experienced Carpenter who takes pride in producing quality work and can be relied upon to get the job done properly.

You’re comfortable working within a team but have the experience and initiative to take ownership of your work, solve problems and provide guidance when required.
