We are currently seeking 2 experienced Electricians for an upcoming testing and commissioning opportunity, commencing 17 October 2026.
Offering an attractive $85 per hour flat rate, these positions are suited to WA-licensed Electricians with strong experience across LV electrical equipment, testing, commissioning, fault finding and diagnostics.
This is not a general electrical position – we’re looking for experienced Electricians who are confident working from detailed electrical drawings, using testing equipment and commissioning a broad range of LV systems and equipment.

The Role As an Electrician, you will be involved in the
testing, commissioning, fault finding and rectification of electrical equipment and systems.
You’ll need to be technically confident, capable of interpreting detailed electrical drawings and experienced using electrical test equipment to identify, diagnose and rectify faults.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Testing and commissioning electrical equipment and systems
- Completing electrical inspections and functional testing
- Tracing and diagnosing electrical faults
- Repairing and replacing faulty wiring and defective components
- Completing testing and verification prior to commissioning
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and documentation
- Using electrical testing and measuring equipment
- Identifying defects and assisting with rectification works
- Ensuring electrical works meet relevant standards and statutory requirements
- Working closely with electrical, instrumentation and commissioning teams
- Completing relevant testing and commissioning documentation
- Maintaining a high standard of safety and workmanship throughout all activities
Equipment & Systems We’re looking for Electricians with previous testing and commissioning experience across equipment including:
- LV Motor Control Centres (MCCs)
- Transformers
- Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)
- Distribution boards
- Control panels
- LV cables and LV motors
- UPS systems
- Battery chargers
- Arc flash relays
- Lighting systems
- HVAC
- Fire & Gas systems
- CCTV systems
Experience across a broad range of the above equipment will be highly regarded.
Drawing & Technical Knowledge You will need to be confident reading and interpreting:
- Single line diagrams
- Electrical schematics
- Termination drawings
- Earthing drawings
- Loop diagrams
- DC system drawings
You should be comfortable using these documents to support
testing, commissioning, fault finding and rectification activities.
Testing Equipment Experience Candidates should have hands-on experience using electrical tooling and measuring equipment, including:
- Multimeters
- Insulation resistance testers
- Phase sequence meters
- Clamp meters
- General electrical tooling and test equipment
You’ll need to be confident using testing equipment to accurately identify faults and verify electrical systems are operating as required.
What You’ll Need To be considered, you will require:
- Current WA Electrical Worker’s Licence – essential
- Relevant Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification
- Demonstrated electrical testing and commissioning experience
- Experience across LV electrical equipment and systems
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities
- Experience repairing faulty wiring and replacing defective components
- Ability to confidently interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Strong experience using electrical testing and measuring equipment
- Knowledge of relevant Australian Electrical Standards
- Familiarity with WA electrical statutory requirements
- High attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Full Australian working rights
- Availability to commence 17 October 2026
About You You’re an experienced Electrician who is comfortable working in a technically focused
testing and commissioning environment.
You can confidently work through drawings, test equipment, diagnose faults and determine the appropriate rectification rather than relying on constant direction. You understand the importance of accurate testing, documentation and compliance when bringing electrical equipment and systems into service.
