We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Trade Assistant to join our client’s team in New South Wales on a temporary/casual basis.

If you have previous experience supporting trades, are confident using hand and power tools and enjoy hands-on work, this could be a great opportunity to secure your next assignment.

The Role
As a Trade Assistant, you will work alongside qualified tradespeople and site personnel, providing hands-on assistance across day-to-day maintenance and project activities.

Your duties may include:

• Assisting tradespeople with maintenance and repair activities
• Using basic hand and power tools
• Preparing tools, materials and equipment for works
• Assisting with the removal and installation of equipment and components
• General labouring and manual handling
• Moving and organising materials around the work area
• Maintaining tools and equipment
• General site clean-up and housekeeping
• Following instructions from tradespeople and supervisors
• Identifying and reporting hazards or equipment issues
• Working in accordance with all site and workplace safety procedures

What We’re Looking For
To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Trade Assistant, Labourer or similar
• Experience within maintenance, construction, engineering, mining or heavy industry highly regarded
• Confidence using basic hand and power tools
• Good mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Construction White Card where required
• Good physical fitness and ability to undertake manual tasks
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Reliable attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
• Full Australian working rights
• Ability to complete any required pre-employment and site requirements

Additional tickets such as Working at Heights, Confined Space, Forklift or EWP will be highly regarded.
