Work with a leading Tier 1 electrical contractor, looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their high-performing estimating team.
We are currently working with a leading Tier 1 electrical contractor delivering major commercial, healthcare, industrial, infrastructure and data centre projects across Australia. Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their high-performing estimating team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale projects while preparing competitive tenders that contribute directly to the continued success of a highly respected business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate electrical tenders, BOQs, quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts and tender documentation.
- Develop Expressions of Interest (EOIs), budget estimates and Design & Construct submissions.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and commercial improvements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, builders and internal project teams throughout the tender process.
- Attend tender meetings, site inspections and client presentations.
- Ensure all submissions meet contractual, technical and Australian Standards requirements.
About You
To be successful you will have:
- Electrical Trade qualification.
- Proven experience estimating commercial electrical projects.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction, Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.
- Experience preparing Design & Construct tenders.
- Experience using CONEST Estimating Software.
- Excellent commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Current Driver's Licence and White Card.
