Engineering Trades Australia are currently seeking experienced and motivated Commercial Electricians to join a growing team delivering high-quality electrical installations across multiple commercial construction sites throughout Sydney.

About the Role
As a Commercial Electrician, you will be working on a range of construction projects including office developments, retail spaces, large-scale infrastructure, and mixed-use buildings. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in line with Australian standards and project specifications. You will work closely with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of electrical systems including cable tray, conduits, switchboards, and lighting systems
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, plans, and specifications
- Rough-in and fit-off work across commercial builds
- Testing, fault finding, and commissioning of electrical systems
- Ensuring all work complies with NSW regulations and AS/NZS standards
- Maintaining a strong focus on workplace health and safety
- Coordinating with other trades and contributing to a productive site environment
- Adhering to project deadlines and quality expectations
Requirements - Current NSW Electrical Licence
- Valid LVR (Low Voltage Rescue) and CPR certification
- Current White Card
- All relevant industry tickets and certifications required for commercial site work
- Proven experience in commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and installation practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Own tools and reliable transport preferred
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance
