About the Role
As an
HDPE Pipe Welder, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality fusion welding on critical infrastructure assets. This is a hands-on role suited to welders who take pride in weld quality, documentation, and compliance.
You’ll be working across:
- Butt fusion and electrofusion HDPE welding
- Water, wastewater and civil pipe networks
- Small to large diameter pipe (including DN315mm+)
- Metro and remote site environments
Key Responsibilities - Perform butt fusion and electrofusion welding to specification
- Interpret isometric piping and construction drawings
- Maintain accurate weld logs, weld maps and QA/QC documentation
- Set up, operate and maintain HDPE welding equipment
- Ensure welding assets are clean, serviceable and compliant
- Work safely within multi-discipline site teams
What We’re Looking For - Minimum 3 years HDPE pipe welding experience
- RTO-accredited qualifications:
- PMBWELD301E – Butt Fusion (PE)
- PMBWELD302E – Electrofusion (PE)
- Proven experience on infrastructure, water or civil projects
- Ability to provide weld history / log sheets
- White Card
- Current C Class driver’s licence
- Full Australian working rights
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and D&A
Highly Regarded - Water or wastewater project experience
- Large diameter HDPE pipe experience
- Dogging, Rigging, Telehandler or Excavator tickets
- Extrusion welding qualification (PMBWELD309E)
