Looking to build a solid career in the steel industry? We’re searching for a hands-on Trade Assistant with a Forklift Ticket to join a fast-paced steel fabrication and distribution site in Hope Valley.

This is a physically active role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, thrives in a team environment, and wants consistent hours with the potential for long-term employment.
What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting with the handling and movement of steel products
• Operating forklifts to load, unload, and relocate materials
• Using hand tools such as angle grinders, oxy torches, and assisting with tack welding
• Supporting overhead crane operations (training/exposure provided)
• General yard, workshop, and warehouse duties

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Forklift Licence (essential)
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or industrial environment
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting
• Confident using basic hand tools and workshop equipment
• Overhead crane experience highly regarded
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-first attitude
