Senior Site Surveyor (UG & OP) – Gold | 8/6 Roster | Permanent

About the opportunity

ETA is partnering with a growing Western Australian gold producer operating multiple underground and open pit mines with an active expansion pipeline. We’re seeking a Senior Undergound Surveyor to lead and coordinate underground survey activities, oversee statutory compliance, and provide functional guidance to the open pit survey team. This is a permanent role on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster, with BIBO ex-Perth or DIDO options.

Key responsibilities

• Lead UG survey function; ensure compliance with WHS Act 2020 & WHS (Mines) Regs 2022.
• Maintain accurate mine models; conduct stope void surveys (CMS & drone).
• Issue development memos; set out DD collars/directions; perform check surveys.
• Calculate EOM volumes/advance; provide timely data for weekly/monthly UG plans.
• Chair/document design/survey meetings; resolve clashes/discrepancies.
• Support surface surveys: stockpile/dump pickups, excavation pickups, prism monitoring.
• Mentor OP survey personnel and collaborate closely with mining/engineering.

Skills & experience

• Degree or Adv. Diploma in Surveying; Grade 1 Authorised Mine Surveyor Certificate (WA).
• 3–5+ years underground and 2+ years open pit survey experience (gold or hard rock preferred).
• Proficiency in Deswik or Surpac; equipment exposure to Leica / Trimble / Optech / CMS / drones.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel); current WA C-Class licence.
