Senior Mining Engineer – Production or Planning Focus | Long-Term FIFO Role

Engineering Trades Australia is working on behalf of a long-standing WA-based mining client to recruit an experienced Senior Mining Engineer. This is a rare opportunity to join a tier-one team delivering technical excellence across a high-performing underground operation.
You’ll play a key role in driving production or mine planning outcomes (depending on your strengths), contributing to short and medium-term strategies, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating closely with site leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute short and medium-term production or development schedules
• Prepare drill and blast designs, stope notes, and production plans
• Collaborate with Survey, Geology, and Operations to ensure alignment and efficiency
• Provide technical support and mentoring to junior engineers
• Monitor performance against budget and KPIs, adjusting as required
• Contribute to the site’s broader technical and safety culture

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering (or equivalent)
• Underground hard rock experience (essential)
• Strong planning and/or production engineering skills
• Proficiency in Deswik or similar mine planning software
• Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence
• Full Australian working rights
