About the Role:

Engineering Trades Australia is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading electrical and civil contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions across Queensland. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming work, we are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their Brisbane-based team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established business involved in power distribution, utility infrastructure, and large-scale electrical and civil projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyse project plans, drawings, and specifications
• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for tender submissions
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to source pricing and availability
• Identify project risks and contribute to value engineering solutions
• Support project handover to the delivery team upon contract award
• Maintain and update pricing databases and estimating systems
• Participate in tender meetings and post-tender clarifications as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as an Estimator within electrical or civil infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of power distribution or utility-based scopes
• High attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating tools
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple estimates
