Engineering Trades Australia are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for a short-term assignment consisting of three 8:6 swings, commencing Tuesday 8th July.

This is a FIFO opportunity flying from Perth to Broome, with a well-established client in the mineral sands sector.

This role would suit someone who is confident working independently in a small maintenance crew and has previous experience on critical plant components such as pumps, screens, and valves.

Key Details:

• Start Date: Tuesday 8th July
• Roster: 8:6 – Tuesday to Tuesday
• Shift: 12-hour days (includes travel time)
• Flights: Perth to Broome Tuesday morning; Return flight from Broome Tuesday ~7pm
• Rate: $75 per hour – Days only
• Duration: 3 swings (with possible extension)
• Meals and Accommodation Provided
• Weekly Pay – Every Friday
• One point of contact at ETA

Preferred Experience:

• Warman pump maintenance
• Valves and pipework repairs and replacements
• Vibrating screen maintenance and fault finding
• Mineral sands experience highly regarded (but not essential)

Requirements:

• Australian Trade Certificate – Mechanical Fitter
• White Card
• Working at Heights & Confined Space (within 2 years)
• Clean National Police Clearance
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
• Must have Australian working rights
• FIFO from Perth only
