Assistant Accountant, Luxury Fashion House 

Melbourne | Full-Time

Salary: $80,000 + Super

With flagship studios across Melbourne, Sydney and New York, the brand is known for delivering premium customer experiences and exceptional craftsmanship.

As the business continues to expand internationally, an opportunity has become available for an Assistant Accountant to join the Melbourne Head Office and support the day-to-day finance function.

The Opportunity Reporting to the Finance team, you'll play a key role in ensuring financial records are accurate, compliant and up to date while supporting a range of accounting activities across a fast-paced, international business.

This position offers excellent exposure across the finance function and is ideal for someone looking to continue developing their accounting career within a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform daily bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records
• Complete bank reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close activities
• Support the preparation of indirect tax returns
• Assist with budgeting and financial reporting
• Maintain finance documentation and provide administrative support to the accounting team
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and workflows

We're looking for someone with:

• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting role
• Experience with general ledger reconciliations
• Exposure to a multi-entity and/or multi-currency environment is highly regarded
• A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
• CA or CPA qualification (or currently working towards completion)
• Experience with NetSuite and/or Shopify is advantageous but not essential
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
