The Domiciliary Care Worker will be responsible for the care they deliver, that has been directed to them by the Manager as per Care Plan. They will be required to maintain accurate written records and signed accordingly.
The Domiciliary Care Worker has the responsibility to ensure they are aware of and adhere to Future Care Limited policies and procedures.
Needs to have knowledge about Safer Manual Handling, Basic Life Support or First Aid and should have Enhanced DBS. Must be time flexible and of good character via references.
To assists and enables service users to dress, undress, wash, use the toilet and bathe;
Serves meals to service users at table or in bed, and assists with feeding if required;
Assists with service users’ overall comfort and wellbeing; Provides interest and activities to stimulate and engage the service user;
Helps with daily activities such as letter writing, paying bills, collecting benefits; Undertakes light cleaning and domestic duties including meal preparation as required;
Monitors service users’ conditions by taking temperature, pulse, respiration and weight, and contributes to record keeping;
Liaises with professional staff in carrying out care plans etc.
The Domiciliary Care Worker will be required to work independently or with a colleague or colleagues in the delivery of care to all clients, to support activities of daily living. This will include such activities as assistance with dietary and nutritional needs, personal and oral hygiene, moving and handling, elimination, and emotional, cultural and spiritual needs, care of the dying patient and their family and last offices. All in accordance with the Care Plan tailored to the Client needs.
