Tax Senior Associate
Baltimore, MD (Hybrid)
$80K – $120K Base Salary + Performance Bonus

Legacy Search Advisors has partnered with a nationally recognized firm seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join its team in Baltimore, Maryland.

This opportunity is ideal for a tax professional with 3–5 years of public accounting experience who enjoys working directly with clients, has a strong foundation in business tax compliance, and is looking to continue developing their career within an established firm.

The position offers exposure to a variety of tax engagements, opportunities for professional growth, and a collaborative environment with access to the resources of a national organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist in reviewing federal and state tax returns, with an emphasis on partnership (Form 1065) and S Corporation (Form 1120-S) returns.
• Prepare financial statements, including compilations and reviews.
• Analyze financial information, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Collaborate with engagement teams to meet tax filing deadlines and client deliverables.
• Assist with tax research, compliance matters, and special projects.
• Maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and high-quality service.
• Support junior team members and contribute to an effective team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required; Master's in Accounting or Taxation preferred.
• 3–5 years of tax experience within a public accounting firm.
• Hands-on experience preparing partnership (1065) and S Corporation (1120-S) tax returns.
• Experience with financial statement preparation, compilations, and reviews.
• CPA, EA, or JD preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of tax compliance, research, and financial reporting.
• Experience with professional tax software such as GoSystem, CCH, BNA, or RIA preferred.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines while delivering exceptional client service.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of $80,000–$120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Eligibility for a discretionary performance bonus.
