Accounting Manager – Real Estate
Baltimore, MD (hybrid)
$110K–$120K base + discretionary performance bonus
  
We’re partnering with one of Baltimore’s most prominent and rapidly growing real estate organizations on an Accounting Manager search.
  
This is a great opportunity for an experienced real estate accountant who wants to join a sophisticated platform, work under excellent accounting leadership, and gain exposure across a diverse and active real estate portfolio.
  
The Accounting Manager will play a hands-on role within the accounting function while also providing review, oversight and support to the broader team. We’re looking for someone who understands the details behind the numbers, can work effectively across Accounting, Property Management and Asset Management, and is comfortable operating in a fast-moving real estate environment.
  
What we’re looking for:

• Strong accounting experience with a background in real estate
• Prior experience at the Accounting Manager level or a strong Senior Accountant ready to step up
• Property-level accounting knowledge and the ability to understand the underlying activity behind a real estate balance sheet
• Experience reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries and month-end close
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to review and develop the work of others while remaining hands-on
• REIT experience is a significant plus
• Yardi or similar real estate accounting system experience is a plus
• CPA and/or public accounting experience welcomed but not required
