A highly respected nonprofit organization based in Baltimore is searching for a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This group is deeply mission-driven, making a tangible difference in the community every day — and they’re looking for someone who shares that same passion.
  
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit support, while also helping the team modernize systems and processes. What You’ll Do:

• Manage general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes
• Prepare and review financial reports for leadership and external stakeholders
• Assist with annual audit and grant compliance processes
• Partner cross-functionally with department heads to ensure accurate reporting and budgeting
• Participate in process improvement and internal control initiatives

  
What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience (public or nonprofit preferred)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with large ERP systems preferred
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong communication skills

  
Compensation:
$85K–$90K base + comprehensive benefits and hybrid flexibility
