Are you an organised and people-focused administrator looking to make a real difference to the experience of older Australians and their families? We're currently seeking a Full-Time Admissions Officer to join our warm and caring team at Charingfield.
This is a crucial role supporting prospective residents and their families throughout the aged care admissions journey, from initial enquiry through to admission. You'll work closely with the Residential Service Manager and broader team to ensure the process is smooth, responsive and welcoming.
About the Role: As our Admissions Officer, you will be a key point of contact for prospective residents, families and external stakeholders. Your role will involve:
- Coordinating the administrative aspects of new resident admissions, ensuring all required documentation and information is completed accurately and on time
- Maintaining and managing the resident waitlist, following up enquiries and progressing suitable admissions opportunities
- Building positive relationships with prospective residents and families, providing clear information and support throughout the admissions process
- Working with hospitals, health professionals, My Aged Care and other external stakeholders to coordinate admissions
- Ensuring resident information, agreements, assessments and other required documentation are completed and maintained accurately
- Working closely with the Residential Service Manager to support occupancy and ensure vacancies are progressed efficiently
- Maintaining accurate records, completing data entry and ensuring information is up to date across internal systems
This role is central to creating a positive first experience for residents and families and ensuring they feel supported from their initial enquiry through to their arrival at Charingfield.
What We're Looking For: - Previous administration, admissions, customer service or relationship management experience - preferably within an aged care or health care setting
- Experience working with residents, families and external stakeholders
- Qualification in Business Administration, Aged Care or related field
- Friendly, professional and compassionate communication style
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and admissions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
- Sales and Marketing experience or exposure, with a customer-focused approach
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and confidence using internal systems
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
