Project Manager
Our client is a leading construction engineering firm based in Northeast Florida, specializing in building diagnostics, building envelope consulting, and construction project management. Our client is growing with new projects / clients and we are currently adding to our team.
About the Position
This is a full-time position based in Fernandina. Daily travel within the Northeast Florida area is required. Most work is in Jacksonville and throughout the Northeast Florida Coast.
We are seeking an experienced construction Project Manager to lead exterior renovation, building envelope, and structural repair projects from bid through closeout. Candidates with condominium, multifamily, or commercial renovation experience are preferred. This position is available immediately.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Benefits include a 401(k) plan, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and company paid life insurance.
Standards for this Position
- 5+ years of construction project management experience.
- Working knowledge of exterior building envelope systems, including roofing, stucco, waterproofing, windows, doors, balconies, and railings.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and design details.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with project management and scheduling software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation is needed to drive to various job sites.
- Degree in construction management, building construction, or a related field is preferred.
- Florida general contractor license, OSHA 30, or similar credentials are a plus.
Work Requirements for this Position
- Manage assigned projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
- Conduct site observations and document progress, workmanship, and deficiencies.
- Administer construction contracts, including submittals, requests for information, change orders, and pay application review.
- Lead progress meetings with owners, boards, property managers, and contractors.
- Track schedules, budgets, and open items, and report status to clients and company leadership.
- Coordinate with company engineers and field technicians on technical issues and design clarifications.
- Prepare punch lists and verify completion of corrective work.
- Support bid services, including bid walks, contractor questions, and bid tabulation.
- Maintain project records and correspondence in accordance with company standards.
- Present findings and recommendations at association board meetings.
- Work well within a team environment while remaining equally comfortable operating autonomously to achieve project outcomes.
