Services Manager – Plymouth

Location: Plymouth
Duration: Up to 12 months
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £37,068.53 per annum equivalent

We are recruiting for an experienced Services Manager to join a supported housing Parents Service in Plymouth. This is an urgent opportunity for a confident manager with experience in housing, homelessness, social care or support services.

The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service and a team of support and housing staff, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of support and housing staff, including supervision, appraisals, recruitment and training.
• Oversee the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring high-quality and person-centred support.
• Manage housing and tenancy matters, including occupancy, voids, rent arrears, repairs and allocations.
• Monitor service performance, KPIs, budgets and quality standards.
• Ensure effective safeguarding, risk assessment and health & safety procedures are maintained.
• Work closely with local authorities, commissioners, health services and other agencies.
• Support staff to deliver trauma-informed and strength-based support.
• Promote independence and positive outcomes for parents and families.
• Oversee support plans, caseloads, incidents and complaints.
• Ensure the service operates in line with relevant policies, legislation and best practice.

About You

• Previous management experience within supported housing, housing, homelessness, social care or support services.
• Experience managing and developing a team.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and working with vulnerable people.
• Excellent communication, organisational and report-writing skills.
• Confident managing challenging situations and working with multiple agencies.
• Enhanced Adult & Child DBS required.
