Community Alcohol Recovery Worker 

LOCATION:             Portsmouth
SALARY:                £26,023 - £29,471 
DURATION:            Permanent
HOURS:                  37 hours
Are you have a passionate about supporting marginalised groups? Do you want to remove the stigma behind complex issues and address route causes, developing independence? Embark on a meaningful journey with a leading Addictions Recovery Charity, as a Community Alcohol Recovery Worker.
  
In this post, you will be working with alcohol related hospital admissions and offer assessment and ongoing recovery work working closely with the Alcohol Specialise Nurse Service at QA Hospital.

• Be a beacon of hope, fostering a supportive community that celebrates each milestone.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative recovery programs.
• Offer a wide range of interventions including one to ones, therapeutic group work, needle exchange, and prescribing interventions to people recovering from problems with drugs and alcohol.

Preferred Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in the field of addiction recovery or community-based support services.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with diverse clients.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in case management, including assessment, goal-setting, and progress monitoring.
• A deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals in recovery and a commitment to their well-being.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in social work, counselling, or a related field.
• Experience in delivering group-based interventions and facilitating support groups.
• A passion for community-based initiatives and a desire to make a positive difference in people's lives.
