Job Description:
This function will work under limited supervision of the VCDF Task Lead as the Capability Development Document (CDD) developer and the interface, liaison and oversight with/of the Security and Estate Group (SEG) activity concerned with the facility aspects of AIR6002 operating locations.

Essential Requirements:

Experience developing high-quality, reliable Capability Definition Documentation (CDD) and facilities artefacts, including Statements of Need, in accordance with SEG requirements for project approvals
Experience representing a project or organisation at meetings/ workshops with a range of stakeholders, including operators, and delivery agencies.
Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders to determine and document facilities requirements from users and project teams.
Experience drafting ASDEFCON Data Item Descriptions (DIDs)
Experience participating in commercial, procurement or contract-related activities.
Experience monitoring project progress and reporting on plans, risks, issues and outcomes to stakeholders and project teams.
Experience preparing and presenting verbal and written reports to senior stakeholders, governance boards or committees.
Experience applying strategic guidance when engaging with stakeholders or developing project documentation.
Experience populating facilities elements within a systems engineering database.
Well-developed analytical skills, including the ability to assess information, identify issues and provide recommendations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across a diverse stakeholder group.
Experience in completing SEG facilities project artefacts required for project approvals

Desirable Requirements:

Experience in facilities devliery
Experience working within Defence Acquisition
Demonstrated high-level writing skills

Other Information:

Required Security Clearance Level: Active NV1 Clearance
Location: Work to be undertaken onsite with preferred location being RAAF Base Williamtown. However, Canberra (Russell Offices) may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Weekly Hours: Monday to Friday / 40 hours per week
Some travel may be required but rarely

SFIA Skills Sought:
The planning, designing, creation, amending, verification, testing and documentation of new and amended software components in order to deliver agreed value to stakeholders. The identification, creation and application of agreed software development and security standards and processes. Adopting and adapting software development lifecycle models based on the context of the work and selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.

PROG Level 4:
Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors complex programs/scripts and integration software services. Contributes to selection of the software development approach for projects, selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches. Applies agreed standards and tools, to achieve well-engineered outcomes. Participates in reviews of own work and leads reviews of colleagues' work.
