About the Role:The SEA4000 Systems Security Lead is responsible for providing SME oversight and advice across the System Security accreditation activities within the scope of the DCE Combat Management System (CMS) scope of work. The role is the primary point of contact for external stakeholders and platform stakeholders for System Security elements of the CMS.
Job Description Summary: - Head of Discipline for System Security across the Engineering Team.
- Liaise with all engineers within the product, other project teams and the CSI-IPT.
- Liaise with product directorates in MIWS and CASG projects to obtain relevant product data for provision to the CSI-IPT.
- Provide both, guidance to the CSI-IPT's security and cyber security organisation, and assurance of the CSI-IPT cyber and security program and its outputs.
- Facilitate engagement between MIWS and DCE stakeholders with regards to Cybersecurity, Physical Security and EMSEC.
- Manage and coordinate Cybersecurity Assessment and Authority activities within the scope of the Hobart CMS.
- Provide a single POC for the CEIP/DCE with regard to CMS System Security;
- Provide SME support to MIWS Directorates with regards to OEM Engagement.
- Guide MIWS staff on the path of cybersecurity assurance.
- Provide SME to the Saab EPA Systems Security Working Group.
- Further participate in multiple DCE Working Groups, alongside AusCMS MSRs.
- Provide support to TEWG and V&V program as required.
Project Deliverables for Current Reporting Period: - Review: o Stakeholder documentation being provided to update the Hobart WoS Threat model in the Cyber Evaluation and Management Toolkit (CEMT).
- Review engineering documents and deliverables as required.
- Provide security inputs to WoS DDR and other MSR, as necessary.
- Provide Systems Security assistance to AusCMS for the commissioning of EnACTS.
- Working Groups: Interface Control / Interface Design / Test & Evaluation / Transversals / Chair - DCE Security & Software / Chair - DDG CIS Sec / EPA SAAB Security / Working Groups
Duties: - Advise on or conduct security risk assessments in accordance with SEA4000 Scope.
- Contribute to the creation of Cybersecurity A&A documentation such as SSP, SSP-A and SRMP.
- Advise and assist Key Combat Management Stakeholders in Physical, Cyber and Emission Security compliance:
- AusCMS Product Directorate (MIWS)
- AEGIS Product Directorate (MIWS)
- DDG CSI-IPT
- Saab
- Provide a System Security liaison and guidance to other DCE stakeholders.
- Understand the security features and capabilities of current Defence and industry accepted hardware and software products and provide advice.
- Familiarity with the Defence CSAA Framework.
Essential Criteria: - A detailed understanding of the DSPF and ISM.
- Hold at least one relevant industry information security certification such as CISSP, CISM GSLC or CISA.
- Be familiar with Information security frameworks such as CMMC, ISO 27001, etc.
SFIA Skills Sought:The selection, design, justification, implementation and operation of controls and management strategies to maintain the security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability and relevant compliance of information systems with legislation, regulation and relevant standards.
SCTY Level 4:Explains the purpose of and provides advice and guidance on the application and operation of elementary physical, procedural and technical security controls. Performs security risk, vulnerability assessments, and business impact analysis for medium complexity information systems. Investigates suspected attacks and manages security incidents. Uses forensics where appropriate.
