Our client in ACT seeks the services of DSS L3 Systems Safety Engineer with NV1 clearance.

Deliverables / Key Responsibilities
Provide oversight of contractor system safety programs, including the review of safety deliverables.
Evaluate engineering changes, and where required, scope, plan and review the implementation of actions from a safety perspective.
Coordinate, direct, and evaluate system safety activities across the Capability Life Cycle, particularly in the sustainment environment.
Plan and lead System Safety Reviews and System Safety Working Groups, in close consultation with key product stakeholders.
Achieve and exercise Technical Authority delegation as the system safety engineer.
Experience/Skills Sought:
Bachelor's degree in electronic and communications, Software or Computer Engineering.
Specialist training in systems safety.
A minimum of five years' experience as an engineer, with specific experience leading a materiel System Safety Program
Engineering degree in Electronic and Communications, Software, or Computer Systems.
Minimum of five years' relevant engineering experience.
Formal training or recognised certification in systems safety.
Chartered Professional Engineer or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia.
Ability to work with limited guidance, demonstrating initiative and responsibility.
Strong understanding of modern networking, computers and operating systems.
Advanced technical writing skills.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
