Our client in ACT seeks the services of DSS L3 Data Observation Engineer with NV1 clearance.

Length of Contract: 8 months
The role closes on 9th February 2026
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build and implement data observability and analytics tooling and systems in support of the Land Combat System Validation Lab and initiatives
Develop, implement and maintain data observability practices and procedures for the purposes of test & evaluation, risk reduction and experimentation activities
Provide analysis and advice to enhance and optimise data observation, exploitation and management within representative networks and systems; including root cause analysis.
Provide SME technical advice and assistance
Conduct close collaboration with internal Validation teams and Engineering Management to deploy and maintain experimental systems; contributing towards future architectural decisions.
Support Automation elements by incorporating data observability tooling and configurations for test activity preparation and building.
Provide technical support to Army exercises, activities and trials for role specific technologies and systems.
Deliver just in time training and actively mentor ADF personnel during periods of instruction during activities.
Provide support to innovation proposals and integration of other deployable systems.
Provide written and oral reports from test events, and post activity assessments.
Provide technical advice and guidance to developing capabilities via the Land Integration Framework
Apply the code of conduct and principles of Equity and Diversity, Industrial Democracy and all other applicable Defence policies.
