Our client in ACT seeks the services of DSS L3 Transition Manager with NV1 clearance.

Length of Contract: 21 months

Responsibilities: The Transition Manager Responsibilities include:
Progress the development of Transition Transfer Document(s) and submit them, along with the Transition Plan, to the Project Director for progressive approval.
Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities during the transition process. Including facilitating transition.
Identify potential risks and challenges during the transition and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruption and ensure uninterrupted system functionality.
Ensure all relevant documentation, procedures, and knowledge related to the mission system are effectively transferred to sustainment teams to support ongoing operation and maintenance.
Implement quality checks and verification processes to validate the successful completion of transition milestones and ensure that the mission system meets required performance standards.
Monitor the performance of the mission system during and after the transition, identifying and addressing any performance gaps or issues.
Maintain open communication channels with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on transition progress, addressing concerns, and resolving issues promptly.
Coordinate with managers to ensure necessary personnel, tools, and equipment are available to support the transition process effectively.
Conduct post-transition reviews to capture lessons learned and best practices that can be applied to future transition activities, contributing to continuous improvement.
Qualification and Experience: In addition to the defined responsibilities of the position, the following requirements are considered fundamental to the Transition Manager role:
Essential Criteria
Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, related field or relevant experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in program management, leadership, and management roles, with an ability to coach and guide teams in the implementation of strategy and transition.
Experience in developing and executing complex transition plans and managing associated risks and resources.
Desirable Criteria
Post-Graduate qualifications in project management, engineering or related field.
Knowledge of Defence-specific requirements, including classified network handling and Defence network policies.
Familiarity with quality assurance standards and performance monitoring practices.
