Our client in ACT seeks the services of DSS L2 System Engineer with NV1 clearance.

Australian Citizens with NV1 Clearance
Length of Contract: 23 months
The role closes on 3rd February 2026
Responsibilities: The System Engineer Responsibilities include:
Participate in the Engineering Activities.
Provide assurance that Capability Functional Requirements are met through the acquisition process.
Develop, manage, and maintain the Engineering Documentation suite.
Provision formal Engineering advice regarding project engineering activities, across all relevant contracts.
Exercise appropriate Engineering Delegation as issued by the Chief Engineer; update and maintain technical risks.
Assist the Engineering Team in any Engineering activities and facilitate the ongoing professional development of team members.
Qualifications & Experience: In addition to the defined responsibilities of the position, the following requirements of this position are considered fundamental to the System Engineer:
Be a Chartered Professional Engineer of a registered Professional Engineering Body (such as Engineers Australia) equivalent or be able to attain chartered status.
Tertiary qualifications in Communications Engineering, Systems Engineering, or other equivalent experience
Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in leadership and management roles, and an ability to coach and guide teams in the implementation of strategy and change.
Desirable Experience:
Understanding of technical, logistical, and operational requirements in the delivery of capability, and knowledge of applicable Defence policy and legislation.
Experience working in managing cross-functional teams of diverse technical specialisations
