• Location - Canberra, ACT
• Australian Citizens with NV1 Clearance
• Length of Contract: 13 months
• The role closes on 26th November 2025

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the engagement with internal and external stakeholders to effectively utilise resources, progress tasks, maintain relationships and make informed decisions.
• Coordinating Engineering Activities include Engineering; Cyber and Safety Working Groups and Major Systems Reviews conduct certification analysis and development conduct certification verification and validation.
• Overseeing engineering governance, risk management, configuration management, design certification, design planning, assurance and internal surveillance activities within their role as the Design Acceptance Representative.
• Coordinating the review and improvement of engineering contract deliverables and other Project or Branch artefacts.

Experience Skills Sought:

• 15+ years engineering experience in the project acquisition space.
• Systems/Electrical/Comms/Underwater Sensors Engineering Qualifications or Experience.
• Capacity for identification of risk and developing solutions to mitigate or control risk.
• Excellent Communication skills including the ability to write clearly and succinctly for a variety of audiences.
• Excellent people management and leadership skills, self-drive and the ability to influence others.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• This engineering position requires an Engineering qualification that satisfies the requirements of the Washington Accord for recognition as a Professional Engineer.

• DSS - 2.1 Systems and Software Engineering Systems Engineering - L4
• SFIA Skill Code - Systems and software lifecycle engineering (SLEN) - L5
