• Security Clearance - Australian Citizens with NV1 Clearance
• Length of Contract - 23 months
• Closing Date - 1st October 2025

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and co-ordinate the Engineering Activities in support of acquisition.
• Provide governance that Functional Requirements are met through the acquisition process.
• Develop, manage, and maintain the Engineering Documentation suite.
• Provision formal Engineering advice regarding project engineering activities, across all relevant contracts.
• Exercise appropriate Engineering Delegation as issued.
• Oversee and supervise the Engineering Team, delegate and coordinate Engineering activities, and facilitate the ongoing professional development of team members.
• Collaborate with the wider Project Team to provide Engineering input across all discipline streams.
• Review and provide engineering feedback on contract deliverables in order to support the implementation.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Team, organising and coordinating workshops.
• Maintain compliance of Engineering process.

Qualification & Experience:

• Be a Chartered Professional Engineer of a registered Professional Engineering Body (such as Engineers Australia) equivalent or be able to attain chartered status.
• Knowledge of, and experience in the One Defence Capability System.
• Tertiary qualifications in Systems Engineering, or other equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in leadership and management roles, and an ability to coach and guide teams in the implementation of strategy and change.
• Understanding of technical, logistical, and operational requirements in the delivery of capability, and knowledge of applicable Defence policy and legislation.
• Experience in managing cross-functional teams of diverse technical specialisations.
• Act prudently, ethically and lawfully.
• Employ best practice in the execution of work, focusing on achieving outcomes, ensuring that decisions are made by appropriately qualified and experienced persons, and taking judicious risks.
• Provide clarity on roles & responsibilities.
• Encourage transparency and truthfulness.
• Encourage collaboration and communication.

• SFIA Skill Code - Systems and software lifecycle engineering (SLEN) - L4
